The Macedonian Translators Association (MATA (https://www NULL.facebook NULL.com/macedoniantranslatorsassociation/)) announces its fourth International Conference for Translators and Interpreters. The conference, entitled Novelties in the Translation and Interpretation Industry, will take place in the lakeside city of Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia, on 1 and 2 October 2016.

This year’s MATA conference will be about novelty, new technologies and knowledge, new discoveries and uncharted territories. The programme and workshops will include topics such as neuroscience research and the practice of interpreting, various types of translation (audiovisual, medical, literary, transcreation), terminology management and disaster recovery planning, aspects of translation and interpreting protocol, the new breed of translators and interpreter associations, and search engine optimization (SEO). The conference will aim to provide a forum for discussion, exchange of ideas and experiences, and the convergence of translators and interpreters, as well as other language professionals.
