CEATL is now a member of the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations
28 Nov, 2024

CEATL has become a member of IFRRO, the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations, whose board met on 30 September 2024 and approved it as a Creator or Publisher Association Member. Given that literary translators convey linguistic and cultural diversity through their work, being a member of IFRRO will be particularly enriching for an organisation like CEATL, which shares IFRRO’s mission and values: respect, tolerance, trust, diversity and commitment.

IFRRO is the leading organisation representing collective management organisations for text and image publications (known as Reproduction Rights Organisations, or RROs), as well as authors’ and publishers’ organisations. With 158 members from some 90 countries, IFRRO plays a key role in the global copyright ecosystem. Its mission is to develop and promote effective collective rights management and to ensure that the copyright of authors and publishers is valued through the lawful and remunerated use of text and image based works.

Now, more than ever, CEATL believes in the importance of cooperation and networking for a publishing ecosystem which is healthy and sustainable for all rightsholders.
