For the nineteenth consecutive year, the Turin International Book Fair is organizing a number of activities of special interest to translators, under the title AutoreInvisibile.
From Thursday 10 May to Sunday 13 May 2018, translators, publishers and writers will participate in seminars and discussions on current issues in literary translation.
The main event is called ‘The writer and his double’. Authors Maylis De Kerangal (France), Antoine Volodine (France), Guillermo Arriaga (Mexico) and Fernando Aramburu (Spain) will engage in a dialogue with their Italian translators.
Other topics for discussion will be the future of the profession, particularly with regard to independent publishing, new translations of classics – The Lord of the Rings among others – and the editing of translations.
