On 29, 30 September and 1 October 2016, at several bookshops in different Spanish cities, ACE Traductores (http://www NULL.ace-traductores NULL.org/) celebrated the first gatherings of a new campaign to promote the collaboration of booksellers and translators: Librerías de Babel (http://www NULL.ace-traductores NULL.org/node/790). The aim of the campaign is to improve the visibility of translators among the readership.
On this occasion, it was translator Celia Filipetto’s turn to talk to readers about her work process in the translation of Elena Ferrante’s novels from Italian into Spanish .
The events were a success. And the association aims to follow the just launched initiative with different activities in many other bookshops all around Spain, such as the display of books which have won translation prizes or talks by translators.
