Foreign translators and writers are welcome at the Writers’ House Guest Rooms at Drottninggatan 88C in Stockholm to work, visit publishers or libraries, or simply spend a few days in the capital going to theatres and museums. Many Swedish writers and translators stay here as well, but guests from abroad have priority.

The Writers’ House provides four single rooms in the very centre of Stockholm (a double room can be arranged upon special request). The rooms are furnished with a standard bed, a small desk and an office chair. Guests share a bathroom with shower and WC, as well a separate WC. There is a shared living room with a small balcony, and a large, fully equipped kitchen. WiFi internet is provided.

The cost is 700 SEK per night for a single room.

The Writers’ House is on Drottninggatan, a pedestrian street leading straight to the Old Town. The National Library, City Library and the major publishing houses and cultural institutions are all within easy walking distance.

All enquiries should be made to the manager, Mr Peter Cottino:
