“Even one victim is one too many” is the request for a UN resolution to protect civilian translators and interpreters in conflict situations. It has been advocated by the international organisations Red-T (https://red-t NULL.org/), AIIC (https://aiic NULL.org/) (International Association of Conference Interpreters), FIT-IFT (https://en NULL.fit-ift NULL.org/) (International Federation of Translators) Critical Link International (https://criticallink NULL.org/) and WASLI (https://wasli NULL.org/) (World Association of Sign Language Interpreters).
CEATL, represented by its president Francesca Novajra, has co-signed this open letter addressed to Mr Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation, to request such a resolution, whose draft can be read here in English (https://red-t NULL.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/UN_Resolution_Red_T_AIIC_FIT_IAPTI_CLI_WASLI NULL.pdf) and in French.
