Online Conference: “Dall’italiano al mondo”

Salone Internazionale del Libro announces the second edition of the conference “Dall’italiano al mondo”. The project aims to promote and support foreign translators giving voice to Italian literature, by creating a network to encourage the spread of Italian books abroad. The conference is curated by the translator Ilide Carmignani, Salone del Libro’s editorial consultant. “Dall’italiano al mondo” will be held online on the SalTo+ platform on Friday 11 November from 4 pm to 8 pm. Participation is free.

“Dall’italiano al mondo” aims to become the key annual rendezvous for translators of Italian literature. It was created by the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino in collaboration with: Frankfurter Buchmesse, CEATL – Conseil Européen des Associations de Traducteurs Littéraires, FIT – Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs, PETRA-E Network, L’indiscreto magazine, Fondazione Bellonci, pordenonelegge, Andersen magazine.

CEATL President Shaun Whiteside will be there for the initial greetings together with FIT and PETRA.

The conference is open to all translators of Italian literature and Italian will be the working language. Participants will receive materials and contacts after the conference.
